Who is responsible for your information?

This website is operated by Jean Guevara, an independent presentation designer based in Venezuela. Questions about this policy or personal information can be sent to contact@byjeangd.com.

Information that may be collected

When you use the contact form, the website may collect your name, email address, selected project type, project details and consent. The page where the request was sent and campaign parameters in the URL may also be recorded when available. This information is provided directly by you or supplied by the page request.

The blog subscription form collects your email address and consent choice. A confirmation token is used to verify that you control the email address before the subscription becomes active.

How information is used

Information submitted through the contact form may be used to:

• Respond to commercial inquiries and questions.
• Understand the context, audience and requirements of a potential project.
• Manage conversations about proposals, availability and project next steps.
• Maintain reasonable records of correspondence.

If you explicitly subscribe to the journal and confirm your email address, it is used to send occasional content about presentation design and visual communication.

Contact inquiries and marketing are separate

Sending a project inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. Contact consent allows Jean to receive and respond to that specific request. Journal consent is collected separately through the subscription form.

Journal subscriptions use double confirmation. After submitting the form, you must follow the confirmation link sent to your email address. Subscription emails provide a secure way to unsubscribe, and you may also withdraw consent by contacting Jean.

Legal bases

Information is processed when you give consent and when processing is necessary to respond to a request that you initiated. If a professional relationship develops, some information may also be needed to prepare or perform a specific agreement.

Service providers

Netlify hosts the website and runs the server functions that receive form requests. Supabase stores contact submissions and journal subscription records. Resend delivers transactional messages, including contact confirmations, subscription confirmations and subscription status emails.

These providers process only the information needed for their role in the contact or subscription flow. Journal addresses are not synchronized to Resend Contacts or marketing segments.

International processing

Some service providers may process information in countries outside Venezuela. When external services are enabled, reasonable steps will be taken to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards for the information involved.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures will be used to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data retention

Contact enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months from the date they are submitted. We may retain them for longer when necessary for an active project, contractual, accounting or legal obligations, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Unconfirmed newsletter subscription requests are retained for up to 7 days after the confirmation link expires. Confirmed subscriber information is retained while the subscription remains active.

After a subscriber unsubscribes, a minimal record of the email address, subscription status and unsubscribe date may be retained for up to 24 months in order to document and honour the unsubscribe request. This information will not be used for marketing.

Confirmation and unsubscribe tokens are invalidated when they are used or expire.

You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information by contacting contact@byjeangd.com.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access to the personal information held about you, request a correction, ask for deletion where appropriate or withdraw consent for future processing. Requests can be sent to contact@byjeangd.com.

Cookies and analytics

Essential browser storage may be used to remember privacy preferences. Optional Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you consent to analytics and is used for website usage statistics and improvement. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie Settings. Children’s privacy

This website and its professional services are not directed to children. Jean does not knowingly seek personal information from children through this website.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when website functions, service providers or legal requirements change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
